JIWAKA Governor Dr William Tongamp siad he was keen on helping local leagues in the new province.
On December 1, Tongamp launched the Anglimp Ku league at Anglimp station in Jiwaka. Tongamp committed K50,000 to the league. The provincial government will give the six leagues in Jiwaka a total of K200,000. The leagues are Nondugl, Baining, Kurumul, Banz, Minz and Anglimp. The Anglimp league is the initiative of local businessman James Botino. He has committed his sponsorship for the next five years. Tongamp said supporting sports competitions was one way of developing the community. Comments are closed.
