Edene Gebbie a few months ago a lot of critics and fans said he wasn’t a big game player after the samoa test and that he isn’t fit for international football. Even just a week ago with the announcement of Johnston many said Gebbie isn’t good enough for the Number 1 Jersey and that he shouldn’t be selected on the wing because he is a specialist number 1. Well when the game was in the balance and PNG was struggling to find something Gebbie came off his wing and sparked the Kumuls to a lead. X Factor written all over Gebbie his footwork showcased that PNG can also be known for being silky and smooth instead of only rough and tough. Gebbie proved his critics wrong and proves the point that to become a big game player you need to be thrown into the big games no NRL experience needed just show them the faith and they will prove their worth. Gebbie was the best back on field and that’s also against 2 of NRLs top wingers Vunivalu and Sivo
Coaches you’ve done a great job hope you show the same faith in Stanford Talita this weekend with nothing to lose let him run out and prove himself, with Ipape and Gebbie proving their worth we need to keep more of this youngsters rolling in. Just look at the quality of Putt, Wellington Albert, Watson and Laybutt compared to when they first started of as inexperienced youngsters. By Paul Komba Next : The PNG KUMULs Game Has Improved A Lot
