The NSW side features one of the most exciting young rugby league players to come out of Lithgow, Nicholas Miller who is part of the Melbourne Storm Under-16s.
Miller can line up in any position in the forwards or be used as a back with his exceptional speed and evasive qualities.
The Academy has been sending junior sides to PNG for the past 15 years. The team left Sydney yesterday after attending the NRL grand final.
They will play three games on their tour including the curtain-raiser to the Prime Ministers XIII match on Sunday.
The Academy’s first match is tomorrow against a Kokopo schoolboys team.
The next match is on Friday against Rabaul.
Saturday will be a special day as the young stars train with the PM’s XIII before holding coaching clinics and visiting the War Memorial.
Their final match is against a PNG national team prior to the PM’s XIII match. They return to Australia on Monday.
